There was a comparison between George Orwell and Aldous Huxley, and the terrifying idea of “fascism with a smile” reminds me of Huxley’s point—basically, it works by entertaining us to death, lulling us into complacency. This absolutely reminds me of that. #DesertPolock

Last night my roommate asked me if I’d be interested in a checking account with Wells Fargo. I asked her if she was out of her mind. “Don’t you know what they did?”
“Well, they’ve been good to me,” she replied.
I said, “Of course. They’re milking interest off of the money YOU put in there. Your paycheck makes them money even if you think it costs you nothing. Part of boycotting and protesting the big banks that tanked us in such a way that we’re STILL getting out of the hole, is well, boycotting and protesting them.”
