When the Left responds to statements like Dan Cathy’s by boycotting establishments based upon their personal opinions and not their business practices, they’re actually giving the Right exactly what they want, which is the ability to do the same. Today, this Facebook feed cited an article from SANA, The Syrian Arab News Agency, about the recent bombing of top Assad administration officials in Damascus. They claim that U.S. and Israeli terrorists were the cause of the attack. However, there is NO mention anywhere in the source article from SANA of who claimed responsibility for the attack, and when queried, Global Public Alert refuses to provide any, instead citing a mass-media conspiracy as the reason for their lack of information. However, The Washington Post, BBC News, The Telegraph, Al-Jazeera, AND the New York times all report that the responsibility for the attack was claimed by two groups: The Brigade Of Islam, and The Free Syrian Army, neither of which are Jewish, and certainly NOT American. The claims this website makes are FALSE and their evidence is bullshit. Absence of evidence is NOT evidence of absence, and these people are no better than Fox News at telling you what to believe on one hand and calling you a free thinker on the other.
There are plenty of real problems in our world that demand urgent attention, and this sort of manufactured controversy does nothing more than stir the shit and make bigots like these feel important, by generating conflict where none existed. This shameless display of anti-Zionist fearmongering does more harm than it could ever possibly do good.

Consider one of Mr. Romney’s most famous remarks: “Corporations are people, my friend.” When the audience jeered, he elaborated: “Everything corporations earn ultimately goes to people. Where do you think it goes? Whose pockets? Whose pockets? People’s pockets.” This is undoubtedly true, once you take into account the pockets of, say, partners at Bain Capital (who, I hasten to add, are, indeed, people). But one of the main points of outsourcing is to ensure that as little as possible of what corporations earn goes into the pockets of the people who actually work for those corporations.
Why, for example, do many large companies now outsource cleaning and security to outside contractors? Surely the answer is, in large part, that outside contractors can hire cheap labor that isn’t represented by the union and can’t participate in the company health and retirement plans. And, sure enough, recent academic research finds that outsourced janitors and guards receive substantially lower wages and worse benefits than their in-house counterparts.
Just to be clear, outsourcing is only one source of the huge disconnect between a tiny elite and ordinary American workers, a disconnect that has been growing for more than 30 years. And Bain, in turn, was only one player in the growth of outsourcing. So Mitt Romney didn’t personally, single-handedly, destroy the middle-class society we used to have. He was, however, an enthusiastic and very well remunerated participant in the process of destruction; if Bain got involved with your company, one way or another, the odds were pretty good that even if your job survived you ended up with lower pay and diminished benefits.
In short, what was good for Bain Capital definitely wasn’t good for America. And, as I said at the beginning, the Obama campaign has every right to point that out.

This is actually political genius. Someone like CrossroadsGPS or Americans for Prosperity will put out an ad basically saying that Mittens has the courage to stand up to these folks. Some more fringe group is likely to put out some kind of racially coded ad too.
The folks this guy is trying to get out to the polls will be galvanized by this.
